Courtney Margulis, M.S., CCC-SLP

Courtney Margulis is a doctoral student in Communicative Sciences and Disorders at NYU. Her research is focused on examining how social perception influences stuttering variability. She received an M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Maryland where she completed a thesis on lexical diversity in children who stutter. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and Cognitive Science, with a concentration in Linguistics, from the University of Virginia. In addition to her doctoral studies, she works as a speech-language pathologist. She is particularly interested in bridging research to clinical practice, and co-developed the 3Es model for stuttering therapy. She is an active member of the stuttering support community and currently serves as the Professional Relations Chair of the National Stuttering Association Board of Directors.
